First of all. Do you know that the Bible tells us that we are not accidents. We were created by a loving God. God knew you even before you were born, and before you were in your mother's womb. He know your family, your life and He wanted to have a relationship with you....



Why? Because He created you and He wanted to give you the very best in life. He is in total control; In fact, He loves you so much that He gave his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for you. ( I 'll explain more about that in a minute). I just want to let you know that when you trust God, you are trusting the One who created you, your heavenly Father. So when you rekindle your relationship with Him, and put your trust in Him, He who knows you in and out. Don't you think this is a great place to put your trust?



God is holy and perfect; people are sinful. Sin means not understanding or even caring what is "right".  The Bible says " everyone has sins"...and you might asked "so what?" ....well, the Bible also says " sin leads to death. And that's a Big Problem!

And only through Jesus Christ can you have a personal relationship with God, who is perfect.  You might again ask, how to have a relationship with God when we can't even touch or see.  Well, that's why Jesus Christ came. He was a human being who live on this earth like you and me, so that we could understand what God is like.. 



In essence, Jesus took our punishment so that we wouldn't have to. Now because of Jesus, we are able to have a personal relationship with holy God. (Jesus did not stay dead. He rose from the dead, which is a promise to us that we will also rise from the dead and go to heaven to be with him.)



God wants all people to come to him. All people need to trust in Jesus in order to be saved.  The fact of salvation means nothing unless a person accepts it for himself or herself, that we are indeed a sinner and we need a savoir. And we understand that God loves us so much that he sent Jesus to save us. 



So when we receive Christ, it simply means that we acknowledge our believe in Christ, inviting him to come into our life, turning to God from you present way of living ( repentance), and then begin to let God direct your life! 



And the moment you ask, It is DONE! Jesus has come in!



Now, if you are ready to receive Christ, you need to express your belief and trust in Christ through a prayer.  ( Prayer is simply talking to God. He will know what a person means even when it is difficult to express). You can cite this prayer now:







"Dearest Heavenly Father, I know that my sins has separated me from you. I thank you that Jesus Christ died for me in my place. I ask Jesus to forgive my sins and come into my life. Please begin to direct my life. Thank you for giving me eternal life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen"
